Our summer semester starts May 28, and we are still in need of many volunteer tutors! Tutors meet with an assigned student for two hours each week over the summer month to work with them toward their personal goals. Training and lesson plans are provided! Our current needs are:
Community Literacy Tutoring (English as a Second Language Tutoring)
- Monday 6-8pm on Zoom – 1 spot
- Monday 6-8pm in-person at Literacy Network (701 Dane St) – 1 or 2 spots
- Wednesday 9-11am on Zoom – 1 or 2 spots
- Wednesday 6-8pm on Zoom – 1 spot
- Wednesday 6-8pm in-person at 614 Vera Court – 2 spots
- Saturday 9-11am on Zoom – 2 to 4 spots
- Saturday 9-11am in-person at Literacy Network – 5 tutor spots
Essential Literacy Tutoring (Sessions focus on reading and writing for advanced English Language Learners and native English speakers)
- Tuesday, 6:00 – 8:00pm at Literacy Network – 3 spots
- Wednesday, 10:00 am – 12:00pm at Literacy Network – 1 spot
- Wednesday, 5:45 – 7:45pm at Lakeview Library – 3 spots
- Thursday 10:00am – 12:00pm at East Madison Community Center – 5 spots
GED (Tutoring for students working toward their high school diploma)
- Morning, afternoon, or evening availability M-F, in-person or virtual
