Rennebohm Foundation boosts Literacy Network capital campaign over two-million-dollar mark with $50,000 gift

MADISON – June 28, 2017 – Thanks to a $50,000 donation from the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation, Literacy Network has achieved a significant landmark in its capital campaign: passing two-thirds of its three-million-dollar goal.

With this gift, the Rennebohm Foundation joins hundreds of individual donors and organizations in advancing Literacy Network’s work in offering literacy education to adults in Dane County. Literacy Network’s capital campaign has so far enabled the organization to relocate to a newly renovated learning center in South Madison, greatly expanding its capacity for educational programs.

An estimated one in seven adults in Dane County struggle with low literacy, with a disproportionate amount of those adults living in South Madison. In addition to bringing its services more directly to the South Madison community, Literacy Network’s capital campaign has increased the capacity for the organization to hold literacy programs in 28 locations across the county.
