Essential Literacy Tutoring Program Expands to Meet Demand

Literacy Network is pleased to announce the expansion of its Essential Literacy Tutoring Program. Tutoring sessions will now be offered at Lakeview Library (North Madison) and East Madison Community Center, in addition to at the Literacy Network office at 701 Dane St (South Madison).

This free individual tutoring program is open to all Dane County adults! Students are both native English speakers and English Language Learners. Lessons are personalized and students are paired with their own one-on-one tutor. Students work on building essential skills in reading, writing, basic computers, or math. Students want to build their skills for a variety of goals, such as increasing employment opportunities, preparing for further education, helping their children, or personal growth.

Demand for Essential Literacy Tutoring has been particularly strong in North and East Madison, and we are pleased to now offer in-person tutoring in both of these areas.
