Literacy Network exists for our learners and due to the efforts of a tremendous group of volunteers. In 2009, 330 personal tutors worked in 355 different tutoring pairs. As a group, the tutors reported nearly 16,000 hours of tutoring time over the course of the year.
As a result of this hard work and dedication, learners accomplished many of their goals related to work skill development, improved health care outcomes, supporting their children's education, and integration into the community.
We are always looking for ways to highlight the efforts and accomplishments of our amazing learners and volunteers. If you have a story to share, please send it to us. We'll use these stories for future newsletters, web page features, and award nominations throughout the year.
