We are delighted to share that Literacy Network was the featured nonprofit at Madison Community Foundation’s annual Madison Gives event on May 20, 2025!
More than 600 people attended this celebration of philanthropy in our community, and we were honored to share Literacy Network’s mission in a new video debuted during the celebration.
In the video, students Daniel, Adiatou, and Cecilia share what studying at Literacy Network has meant for them. Also hear from Executive Director Robin Ryan, supporter Pete Lundberg, and Madison Community Foundation’s Jeneen Hartley.
Congratulations, Lau and Bea Christensen
We extend heartfelt congratulations to longtime Literacy Network supporters, Lau and Bea Christensen, who were recognized at the event for their many years of generous support of many vital nonprofits in the Madison area. Watch their event video here or by clicking below.
Thank you, Lau and Bea, for believing in the power of adult literacy education! Through your support of Literacy Network and so many other nonprofits, you make our community a better place for all.
Thank you, Madison Community Foundation!

Literacy Network was one of the first local nonprofits to establish an endowment at Madison Community Foundation. In addition, Madison Community Foundation has provided generous grant support of many Literacy Network programs over the years, including a 2024 grant to support the acquisition of Omega School. We were honored to highlight our longstanding partnership at 2025’s event.
Thank you, Madison Community Foundation, for all that you do to support our students and their dreams!
